Academy of Competitive Intelligence, Inc.
The Academy of Competitive Intelligence is the brainchild Dr. Benjamin Gilad, a former strategy
professor at Rutgers University School of Management, a former police intelligence officer, and a renowned management
and economics educator who was named "our Guru of Competitive Intelligence" by CI Magazine,
the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals' official publication.
Dr. Gilad is considered a pioneer
of competitive intelligence theory and practice in the US. The first to popularize the corporate CI unit in the
early 1980s, Gilad's methodology and models are used by almost every consultant and practitioner in the
competitive intelligence field, and by the vast majority of Fortune 500 firms. Dr. Gilad has published 7
books and over 60 articles. The Academy's training affiliate, the Fuld-Gilad-Herring Academy of CI is the
global leader in training in competitive intelligence, and the only one to offer a
public course,
taught by Gilad, on wargaming.
